Celebrating alcohol-free drinks made in Aotearoa — and where to enjoy them.
When I decided to reduce my drinking, I had no idea what was available or where to find it. So I researched everything and created a spreadsheet to track what I could find in my local Wellington supermarkets, online bottle stores and producers' websites.
What surprised me most? The impressive range of quality non-alcoholic drinks made right here in Aotearoa. That's why I decided to focus exclusively on locally-made options.
Now I'm sharing this directory so you don't have to start from scratch like I did.Zero Alcohol NZ brings together:
• a nationwide directory of alcohol-free drinks made in Aotearoa
• the Wellington map, showing where to find alcohol-free options
• the Welly Zero Alcohol Explorer, a short newsletter of new finds.
Browse the directory of alcohol-free beers, wines, ciders and spirits made in Aotearoa.
Welly Zero Alcohol is our Wellington edition — highlighting restaurants, bars and shops offering alcohol-free options (NZ-made and imported). It’s a small, local project to make it easier (and more fun) to discover what’s out there.
Use the map to find places in Wellington serving alcohol-free drinks. This is a work in progress. If your favourite venue is missing, let me know via the form and I'll update the map.
